BIOGRAPHY

ARTIST’S STATEMENT
“Ultimately art is not an intellectual activity. It is an intuitive, visceral process in the creation and hopefully, in the viewing. I’m convinced concept alone is meaningless and should be valued for what it is – another tool; a means to an end.
However, I find I need a back story in my art. I’m always on the prowl for imagery or ideas that will fuel the process. Ultimately, no one knows how it’s truly done. That’s the magic that keeps many an artist in the studio. As a viewer you may not need to know the inspiration of my work. Give up the security of recognizable objects and become an active participant. Let go of words, feel the color, the lines and the shapes. I urge you to find your own story in my work.”
